Train Police in a University; Build One Professional Career

Green White Go proposes one continuous statutory police career beginning through a Police Service University, with three rank categories — Operator → Investigator → Monitor — and five star grades within each rank category, progressing through training, experience, competence and responsibility.

At manifesto level, Operators carry frontline and community-facing policing, Investigators lead investigations and cases, and Monitors provide senior professional leadership and command; exact star-grade postings, promotion rules and transition arrangements belong in police legislation and the Police Policy Paper.

The purpose is to make policing a profession in which responsibility grows visibly with competence rather than a collection of disconnected ranks and postings.
